About
Concrete Flowers is a Gold Coast based florist specialising in bespoke weddings, events, corporate floristry, and delivering beautiful blooms to homes around the Gold Coast.
Behind the name
There is meaning and passion in our name, and that is to break the boundaries of our perception and challenge the limiting mindsets and social stigmas (read: constraints that stop people from embracing the kickass individual's they are) that tell us how and who we should be based on the worlds way of thinking.
Concrete and flowers are completely contrary to one another, and that is the point!
Even flowers can bloom in the most dry, hard and barren of places. Like a flower in the crack in the concrete, transforming a hard rough place into something soft and beautiful. Likewise, a single flower, seemingly soft, weak and delicate, has a strength about it that helps it withstand the most brutal of storms. To us that is pretty hard-ass and dang beautiful. The conviction in our heart is strong, there is so much more to everything (and everyone) than face value, and just because something appears to be one way, doesn't mean it is the only way.
Thus, you have a passion compounded (and a long story made short) in the inception of two simple and opposing words, Concrete Flowers.
So what do we do?
We create beautiful, personalised and expressive floral designs that are uniquely made to reflect and complement you perfectly.
We refuse to be put in a box and we refuse to put you in a box either!
Some more ramblings
In a world where everyone is trying to fit in, or stand out, or just trying to figure it all out, remember that it's okay to be YOU. Unashamedly, boldly, authentically you! The world is so fast paced, trends change constantly and opinions vary wildly. Amidst it all we hope you remember that you are valuable just because 'you are', and you deserve to let your life be your own. Like things, love things, hate things - even if you're the only one.
Be unsure. Change your mind - that's okay too (that's how we grow.) Sit on the other side of the fence to everyone else. Be wildly out of place. Jump on the bandwagon. Do whatever the heck you want to do! Just do it because YOU want to, not because you feel you have to, to fit into some kind of mould. Your life isn't your own if you constantly care what others think.
And if you don't want to invite that uncle you haven't seen in 5 years or your mum's best friend Barbara to your wedding because it's 'polite'...DON'T! (We've got your back)
